Origins... Viktor & Rolf... Pandora goodness!

Prepare for a random post of the day... I have gathered up a few of my favourite things at this moment in time and thought I would share this with you.

Origins Clear improvement active charcoal mask for clear pores
Let's start with the face mask shall we? I'm sure that if you've got a blog yourself, you'll most probably have heard of this Active Charcoal mask by Origins. I've never used a face mask of this consistency until I bought this one because I felt like it might clog up my pores even more because it looks so thick! In fact, it does the exact opposite. I apply this on my T zone and spread it a bit further onto the tops of my cheeks and where I feel my pores are larger. The only downside to this is taking the mask off, it can be a bit of a challenge especially because of the colour BUT it's a small price to pay. My skin felt tighter (in a good way) and it sucked out all the gross stuff from my pores leaving my skin feeling refreshed and clean! You know when you use a face mask and it feels like it's actually done something? Yeah. It's one of those.

Viktor & Rolf Flowerbomb
Next up is the Viktor & Rolf flower bomb perfume. I know, I know, I'm a bit late on the band waggon but I got it for Christmas this year and have been wearing it everyday. It lasts for ages, and I mean ages. I get up the next morning and can still smell it on my clothes/scarf the next day! I was going to try and explain the scent but I think I'll let you read it up online or smell it in store to get a more accurate feel of the scent. If you like "sweet but not too sweet" scents then this one would be perfect! I've been using it day and night and have received quite a few compliments on it! Go and give it a sniff!

Pandora princess tiara ring - £40
This last one is a bit if a random favourite. I got this as a gift for my birthday last year and have been wearing it everyday too. If you know me, I'm really fickle with jewellery and the only other piece of jewellery I wear on a daily basis is a pandora charm bracelet. So for me to wear this ring everyday is quite an achievement! I think it looks really elegant but cute at the same time. It's also not too expensive for a ring especially as it as the little stone in the middle and there's so much detail going on.

Do you have any random favourites?

The Blogger made me buy it TAG

I have recently seen this tag going around and thought I would join in! Enjoy :)

*Who are your most influential bloggers? Who are the ones that you really rely on for reviews and swatches?

I have been reading Viviannadoesmakeup's blog for a while now and the main reason for this is because she likes to wear very natural makeup like me. I don't tend to put on heavy foundation or lots of eye makeup - I like to complete the look with a nice lipstick :-). Her blog is beautifully designed and her blogposts aren't too long which makes them easy to read. Also, her swatch photos are really clear... I am sure she uses one of those big fancy cameras. Definitely.

Another blog that I trust the reviews of is frmheadtotoe. Her skin type seems to be quite similar to mine and we seem to have similar skin issues e.g. hyperpigmentation. So I love finding out what she uses for her skincare and also foundation recommendations.

*Do you buy a product solely as a result from one review from your favourite bloggers, or do you look for more reviews from others?

If I see something I think I might like on a blog, I will always check it out in person and decide for myself whether it suits me or not. Sometimes for example, a lipstick looks great on someone but doesn't necessarily look great on me so it really depends. But I take skincare quite seriously and look up a lot of reviews online before purchasing it because I broke out one time when using Clinique products - never again!

*What is your most favourite item that you have ever bought as a consequence of blogs?

I decided to give in to the hype about 2 or 3 years ago and bought the Liz Earle Cleanse & Polish... Best decision yet! I am still using it today and must've gotten through about 10 tubes of the stuff (you can read my mini review of it in my previous post).

*What is your least favourite item that you have ever bought as a consequence of blogs?

I read blogs for recommendations and inspiration. I usually read up on lots of reviews on the product and if the negative comments haven't scared me off yet... then I will take the plunge and buy the product! A long time ago, I bought an E.L.F. Lipstick in the colour Natural Nymph (this was when I was in the phase of nude lips - which does NOT suit me by the way). I can't remember which blog I read that recommended this as it was years ago but I ended up buying it online on the ELF website... the colour wasn't how I imagined and it was so chalky and dry that it made me look like a corpse. Sounds attractive right?

*Name 5 products you have bought recently as a result of blogs.

Natural Collection Blush in Peach Melba - Essiebutton
Real Techniques Foundation Buffing Brush - Zoella
It's a 10 Miracle Leave-in product - FleurDeForce

*Have you ever given into blogger hype? If so, which hype?
I am proud to say that I still haven't given in to the hype of the Urban Decay Naked Palettes - none of them! Although I am really tempted to buy the first one... I am a sucker for nice packaging and I rarely use eyeshadow! But yes, at this point in time I haven't given in to this particular blogger hype... yet.

*Have you ever avoided blogger hype? If so, which hype?
There have been a lot of blogger hypes that I have avoided but I do check it out for myself before making any judgements.

*Is everything you buy based on blogger reviews or are there some items you buy without checking out a review?
These questions are getting quite repetitive now aren't they? I rarely buy anything without having checked out several reviews first. I wouldn't want to be spending money on something that I hate or just because of a hype!

Want a glowing complexion?

For me, taking care of my skin is a priority. I love reading about other people's skincare regimes, so I'm going to share mine. It's nothing fancy but I have finally found a good set of products (after a long period of trial and testing!) that I am 100% happy with.

Liz Earle Cleanse & Polish
I don't know about you but the best feeling after a long day is wiping all that makeup off your face! For this, I use the cult beauty product Liz Earle cleanse & polish with a muslin cloth to take off the majority of my makeup, including eye makeup. It's a really gentle, creamy texture makes the process really quick and easy. I then squirt another small pea size of it and smooth it all over my face and use a cotton pad to remove the remainder of my makeup to make sure it's squeaky clean!

Neutrogena visibly clear pink grapefruit scrub
I usually use this in place of the Liz Earle cleanse & polish in the morning to wake my face up a bit (especially at 6:30am when I'm getting ready to go to work...) and for around £5, you really can't go wrong.
This is a really gentle scrub that says you can use daily, however I tend to use it every other day. Definitely don't use it if you have any breakouts as it will only spread the germs!

"Forever Flawless"

So the product I am talking about is the Diamond Infused Facial Peeling Gel by a brand called Forever Flawless. It claims to have natural diamond powder in the product which is supposed to help remove dead skin cells and impurities on your face - revealing a brighter and "flawless" complexion.

I have heard contradicting reviews on this product and thought I would share my thoughts on it with you.

New Year... New Blog?

Hey. I’m Chelsea, 22 years old, born and live just outside of London. More importantly, I am obsessed with anything beauty/makeup/fashion related. So the obvious thing to do was to create a blog and continue this unhealthy obsession right?
Get ready for lots of beauty packed posts…
