Let me tell you... this green tea seems to have worked its magic on my skin and I couldn't be happier! Obviously, I still continue with my skincare regime and squeeze some time to do face masks as well - but the result of drinking this green tea at least twice a day has worked a dream!
If you're into skincare and health care in general, you will probably already know that green tea contains lots of antioxidant and anti-inflammatory properties which will help prevent and reduce the number of breakouts you may have had previously. The one I used to drink was the pure green tea from a tea brand called Twinings (for those of you not in the UK!) and the one I am drinking now is from Kirkland. I find this one to be not as bitter as the Twinings one, which makes it a bit more bearable to drink! You can buy this here.
I have tried doing this before but didn't see the same results as I did this time. I'm not sure if it was because I was drinking a different brand of green tea or if I just stuck to it more consistently this time and saw results after just a week of drinking 2 cups of green tea a day!
Green tea originated from China and was used as a medicine to lower blood pressure and prevent Cancer. It is also known for a lot of other health benefits in the modern world:
1) It stimulates metabolism and can therefore help in weight loss by intensifying levels of fat oxidation - bonus!
2) It can also help reduce blood cholesterol.
3) Can also help prevent heart disease by preventing the formation of blood clots.
So what are you waiting for? If you're having trouble with your skin, I would definitely recommend you drink at least 2 cups of green tea a day and see if it gives you the same results as it did for me. Even if it doesn't, there are many other health benefits that would be an advantage!
