Healthy Berry and Mango Smoothie

As it is slowly creeping into Summer here in the UK... I thought it would be appropriate to start making fruit smoothies again. They are so healthy, quick and simple and taste so good!

So here it is...


                               

Ingredients

  • A handful of frozen raspberries
  • A handful of frozen blueberries
  • 6-8 chunks of frozen mango
  • 2 cups of apple juice (of your choice!) 
  • 8 small cubes of ice
  • 1 banana
I added all the ingredients into a blender and blended them all together until it was pretty much smooth and then added the ice cubes in last and blended it quickly again to maintain the coolness of the mixture. 

You can use fresh fruit if you want, but I decided to go for frozen berries & mango so that the smoothie is extra cold and refreshing! It's also easier to keep bags of frozen fruit in the freezer and not have to worry about them going off :-)

I'm not going to lie, but I use different measurements of fruit every time I make a smoothie, mainly because I can't remember the exact measurements I used last time or I like trying out new mixtures. This one turned out to be lovely and refreshing, not too sweet and not too sour as some of my previous ones have turned out so I decided to share the recipe with you! :-)
